The Dispatch Optimizer (D.O.) includes a driver qualification validation feature that prevents dispatchers from assigning hazmat moves to drivers who do not have the required hazmat endorsement.
This ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements for hazardous material transportation.
An error message will display when all of the following conditions are met:
The move is designated as hazmat
A driver is selected for the move
The selected driver does not have a valid hazmat endorsement
The dispatcher attempts to assign or transmit the move
Hazmat moves are identified directly on the move card within the Dispatch Optimizer.
Example: Hazmat identifier displayed on the move card

When triggered, the system displays a Dispatch Optimizer error message.
Message Details Include:
Notification that the driver is not certified for the hazmat move
Reference to the move being assigned
Example from the screen:

When the error appears, the dispatcher has one required action path:
Select a Different Driver
The current assignment cannot proceed
The dispatcher must:
Identify a driver with a valid hazmat endorsement
Reassign the move using a qualified driver
Dispatchers should:
Verify driver qualifications before assigning hazmat loads
Use only drivers with confirmed hazmat endorsements for these moves
If the error appears unexpectedly:
Confirm the driver's endorsement status in the system
Coordinate with the appropriate team to update driver credentials if needed
The error is driven by driver endorsement validation
It acts as a hard stop and prevents dispatch
A qualified driver must be selected to proceed
Ensures compliance with hazmat regulations
