Update Business Hours

Overview

An editable Business Hours section is available on the Location Profile (LP) Screen, allowing users to maintain operating hours for each location.

This section supports:

• Daily open/close time ranges

• Enable/disable by day using toggles

• Notes for special instructions or exceptions

Business Hours can be updated at the user's discretion once a location has been queried.

When to Use

Use this process when:

• A customer location's hours of operation need to be added or updated

• Business hours are required for operational awareness or scheduling alignment

• Exceptions or special instructions must be documented for a specific location

How to Update Business Hours

1. Access the Location Profile Record

1. Navigate to:
   Customer Service → File Maintenance → New Location Profile Screen

2. Query the desired LP Code

2. Enter Update Mode

1. Select the UPDATE Action Button.

3. Locate the Business Hours Section

• Navigate to the Business Hours section on the right side of the screen (As below)

4. Enable Editing for Each Day

• Use the toggle to activate a day:

  • Toggle must be moved to the right to enable editing

• Once enabled:

  • Time fields become editable for that day

✅ Key Behavior:

• Toggle OFF (left) = no hours entered

• Toggle ON (right) = time range fields available

5. Enter Business Hours

For each applicable day:

1. Enter:

   • Start Time (Open)

   • End Time (Close)

2. Repeat for all required days

NOTE: Hours should be entered in standard AM or PM format and NOT military time. However, once added, hours will show in Military Time (if applicable).

6. Add Notes or Exceptions (Optional)

• Use the Notes / Exceptions text box at the bottom of the section

• Enter any relevant details such as:

  • Holiday hours

  • Appointment restrictions

  • Special handling instructions

7. Save Changes

1. Click the Save button located in the top-right corner of the screen. (As below)

2. Click on the Cancel button to abort the process. (As below)

✅ Important:
Changes are not retained unless the Save button is selected.

What Users Will See

• Toggle controls next to each day of the week

• Editable time fields when toggled ON

• Notes / Exceptions text entry area

• Save button in the top-right corner of the screen

Key Reminders

• Business Hours are user-maintained and optional

• Each day must be toggled ON to enter hours

• Always click Save after making updates

• Use Notes / Exceptions for anything outside standard hours
