A user must have the appropriate privileges to add a booking. When a user first enters the screen to add a new booking, the following fields are defaulted but can be changed:
· Status- defaults to O for Open
· Any Cont#- defaults to Y for Yes
· Ant Chas# - defaults to N for N
· Req Mount Co.- defaults to Y for Yes
· Req MountCh - defaults to Y for Yes
· Load Type- defaults to E for Empty
· Flex- defaults N for No
The following fields are required and cannot be blank
· Booking Number
· Customer
· Depot
· Any Cont#
· Any Chas#
· Req Mount Co
· Req Mount Ch
· Flex
· Status
To add a new booking for a customer:
Step 1: Booking- enter the booking number in the booking field. This is an alpha numeric field so both letters and numbers can be entered. This is a required field.
Step 2: Customer- chose the customer from the list. This is a required field.
Step 3: Depot- chose the Depot the equipment will be booked under, if not already populated This is a required field
Step 4: Any Cont# - Will this booking allow for any type of container to be out gated? Defaults to N but can be changed to Y. This is a required field.
Step 5: Any Chas# - Will this booking allow for any type of chassis to be out gated? Defaults to N but can be changed to Y. This is a required field.
Step 6: Req Mount Co – Will this booking require only mounted containers? Defaults to Y but can be changed to N. This is a required field.
Step 7: Req Mount Ch- Will this booking require only a mounted chassis? Default to Y but can be changed to N. This is a required field.
Step 8: Load Type- Will the container be a Load, Empty or could be either? If the container(s) must be loads for the booking, change the field to L for Load. If the booking requires the container(s) to be empty leave as defaulted with an E for Empty. Or, if the container(s) can be either load or empty change delete the entry in the field and leave as blank.
Step 9: Flex- Is this a flex booking? Defaults to N for No, but if this is a flex booking modify to Y for Yes
After completing the above steps, the booking can be saved. However, additional fields can be populated to further define the booking.
· Release Max Eq- Maximum number to release – the total number of containers plus the total number of chassis for this booking. Once the number of containers and trailers out gated on the booking number reaches the number entered in Release Max Eq field, no further out gates can be processed with the booking number
· Release Max C.- Maximum number of containers to release for this booking. Once the number of containers out gated on the booking reaches the number entered in Release Max C field, no further out gates can be processed with the booking number
· Req Status- What is the required status code for an out gate?
· Req Prefix- What is the required prefix to require for an out gate?
· RelDate- Cannot release equipment before this date
· Co Grade- Container Grade- FG for Food Grade, SC for Scrap Cargo, or GC for General Cargo
· Auth. By- the method the booking was authorized by
· Comments- Any additional comments
· Truckers- users can add a list of Truckers or SCAC(s) to the booking
